Research and development innovation of vertical plant-mixed stabilized soil mixer

With the acceleration of urbanization, the demand for stabilized soil mixing equipment in construction projects is increasing day by day. The environmentally friendly vertical and horizontal integrated mixer is a new type of stabilized soil mixer independently developed and launched by our company based on more than 20 years of experience in the production of stabilized soil mixers and the current market situation, focusing on the concepts of energy saving and efficiency improvement, economic and environmental protection, uniform mixing, and safety without cleaning the pot. This equipment adopts a combination of vertical mixing and horizontal mixing to make the materials collide and rub evenly throughout the process, and improve the strength of the mixture under the same ratio.

The vertical plant-mixed stabilized soil mixer has passed the national patent and formulated a group standard (standard number: T/TMAC 050-2022). This equipment has reached the international advanced level after the scientific and technological achievement evaluation organized by the Transportation Professional Committee of the China Technology Market Association.

Compared with the horizontal mixer, the vertical plant-mixed stabilized soil mixer (as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2) has the advantages of economy, environmental protection, energy saving, easy pot cleaning, long blade service life, stable equipment, uniform mixing, and easy maintenance.

Similar products from abroad generally have the disadvantages of being too expensive, taking a long time to install, and having a single function. They have a very small share of the domestic market, and are basically dominated by domestically produced equipment.

The commonly used products on the market currently have deficiencies in their structural composition and functional optimization design, resulting in the production of vertical plant-mixed stabilized soil mixing machines that cannot meet the requirements of construction parties and are difficult to promote on a large scale in the market.

Therefore, it is particularly important to upgrade and transform existing technologies.

As an important part of Shandong Province’s “Nine Vertical, Five Horizontal, One Ring, Seven Radial and Multiple Connections” expressway network, Linzi to Linyi Expressway connects the Zhanhua to Linzi Expressway under construction in the north and Rilan Expressway in the south, passing through Zhangdian District, Linzi District, Zibo District, Zibo High-tech Zone, Boshan District, etc. It is 192 kilometers long, with an estimated total investment of 33.8 billion yuan and a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour. It plays an important role in improving the layout of the provincial expressway network and promoting the development of old revolutionary areas.

Two vertical plant-mixed stabilized soil mixers were purchased in the early stage of the project. During use, the powder can be fully mixed with the aggregate, and all tests meet the relevant requirements. In addition, the problem of personnel cleaning the pot can be effectively reduced during the production process, and the blades do not need to be replaced frequently, saving a lot of manpower and material resources for the construction party.

The unique vertical structure has improved the output under the premise of reducing the motor power. Compared with the horizontal mixer, the vertical mixer can save more than 70% of power, which truly achieves energy conservation and emission reduction and has been well received by the construction party.

Each device in this project indirectly saved the construction party more than 200,000 yuan.

To sum up, this vertical plant stabilized soil mixer has achieved remarkable results during the research and development process. The innovation of its design concept, optimization of structural design and advancement of process technology have made the equipment highly competitive in terms of production efficiency, product quality, energy conservation and environmental protection. It is believed that in the future, this mixer will play a greater role in the field of construction engineering.
